Cespitose in large clusters in soil under conifers.
Pileus pure white, but becomes light brown to grayish with age. Surface dry, glabrous, 3-8 cm broad, convex. Lamellae white, FeSO4 negative, adnate to decurrent. Stipe robust, white glabrous, up to 7 cm long, 2 cm broad.
