Pileus to 7 cm, slightly tacky when wet, light reddish brown to pinkish-brown. Pores yellow, strikingly bright yellow when young, small at first but expanding with age, also becoming duller yellow with olive tints in age, not bruising. Pores attached to the stem or beginning to run down it. Stipe somewhat swollen in the middle, yellowish with reddish brown vertical streaks. Flesh yellowish but staining a dull pinkish over time (for example, slug bites) particularly in the cap. Odor mild.
