It looks like there have been a series of errors with naming the locality given on the herbarium card. Smith's 1979 publication gave the locaity is "La Push", which is in error, even if it's in the same area. The typed card states "Jackson Guard Station", the name of a Forest Service station on Colorado. The original written card by Smith simply says "Jackson Station", and that is in fact the name of the original homestead where Hoh River Ranger's Station/Visitor's Center is now. I'm not sure what the source was for the "47.8555 -123.933", but that's close to correct - "47.8609, -123.9348" would be more accurate if the current Ranger Station is taken as the location for the former "Jackson Station".
