Growing among decaying leaves under oak trees
The common cream colred Lactarius of such situations, with more or less distinctly concretically ringed pileus and shallowly scrobiculate stem. The pileus becomes strongly infundibuliform. The taste is burning peppery. Prof. Peck questions its reference to this species.
