Pileus red, mottled with dark reds and yellows, convex young to planar; pores yellow bruising blue instantly, 2 pores per mm, pores to 1 cm long; stipe faded yellow, dark red glandular dots at base, flesh beneath outer layers staining blue when outer layer peel off; context blueing, turning grayish 20 minutes later, young stipe bruising to touch; mycelium on leaf litter at base white. KOH brownish red pores, stipe; FeSO4 yellow stipe, bruised Pores turn back to yellow.
