I think this is the right genus - though I observed no milky exudate (but then I wasn't looking either - my thinking here is based on other postings I made of similar looking 'shrooms' all of which were then put in this genus). Uncommon - seen several times merging from dense leaf litter under red beech (Fuscospora fusca) in silver beech (Lophozonia menziesii) / red beech (Fuscospora fusca) forest. Looks a tad like http://naturewatch.org.nz/observations/3001031 except gills yellow and no Betula present at this site - though it does occur c. 1 km away in Rotokura Lakes Car Park with Lactarius turpis.
