Original observation #3716450 (iNaturalist)
These two fungi were found growing on the side of a dead log in a redwood forest. They were found in partial shade underneath redwood tress. The fungi are sphere-like and have a hard texture. The length in diameter ranges from 1-1.5 cm across. The fungi seemed dry and was not moist or wet to the touch. Considering puffball? Looks like a truffle? Camera: Nikon Coolpix S33
