Taste and odor farinaceous. Staining blue where damaged.
Spores (8.75) 9 – 10 (10.25) x 5.5 – 6 × 5 – 6 μm.
Pleurocystidia present and inconspicuous, often with an apex 4 – 6 μm. (12) 13 – 16 (19) x (5) 8 – 12 μm.
Cheilocystidia present, difficult to find, some with an acute apex and others with a broad apex.
Lamellar trama regular with irregular elements interspersed, 20 – 40 × 6 – 18 μm.
Pileus trama subglobose.
