Original observation #4741734 (iNaturalist)

This is the largest patch of Amanita muscaria I have ever seen – Several hundred fruit bodies.

As I was photographing these I looked over and saw a guy who looked like a cop walking through the field across the road. A few minutes later, it started to rain really hard, and 3 cops with rifles ran out of the field and through the A. muscaria patch. Their guns were getting seriously soaked and they didn’t pay much attention to me or the mushrooms.
