Multiple collections of this species were thrown/tossed into our yard intentionally during the 4 years we lived in Yakima,WA. Each Spring and summer we would have a new flush of delicious, lightly almond scented meadow mushrooms for multiple dishes at our disposal. All collections from nearby parks and arboretums added to this lawn. A. campestris does not stain, smells pleasant, has bright pink gills when young-darkening to chocolate brown and is common in grasses and lawns from Spring to late summer in Eastern Washington.
