The gleba on the arms and not in the centre indicates this is Clathrus (Anthurus) archeri and not Aseroe rubra. The bifid nature of the arms is not indicative. This the 'Auckland' Clathrus which has caused debate for a couple of years now (see other local records on NW). The sequence data clearly places it with Anthurus archeri although it might be a local variant. Work in progress.
