Cap 57-88 mm across, tacky, fading as it ages, and developing grayish tones. Gills cream-colored. Stipe 62-75 mm long, 22-27 mm thick, equal, stuffed with pith, with few scattered pockets, whitish to deeply rosy blushed, going grayish in age. Taste quickly acrid, odor indistinct.
