A patch of these mushrooms appeared recently under an oak tree. They were identified by their brown spores, caps that turned yellow when rubbed, they have well defined rings, and the base of their stalks, when crushed, had a slightly sweet, mild mushroomy smell. Some of the caps were also greater than 6cm across, making them too big for the similar A. semotus.
