From material: it has amyloid spores which immediately places it in the Tricholoma-related genus Porpoloma. It's Gondwana distributed genus and residual northern hemisphere species need moving. The stipe has a sheathing ring zone at the base, not visible in the photos. Unfortunately the material has dried rather poorly and been attacked by mites.

Solitary amongst mosses and liverworts in mixed beech (Fuscospora cliffortioides x F. solandri, F. fusca) / podocarp forest. Fruiting body solitary, c.50 mm tall, pileus, c.40 mm diameter. Stipe yellow (not discolouring on bruising), clavate with the base a mycelial pad enmeshed within mosses and liverworts; stipe surface smooth, attached to pileus centrally; pileus convex (hemispheric), upper surface felted, pale honey-brown, cortex yellow; pileus margin smooth, gills even, smooth, yellow.
