Growing in soil that is normally quite boggy beneath native trees and shrubs. Caps mostly less than 30 mm although one old fruit body about 70 mm across was seen. Caps yellow-orange, conical when young. Gills white initially, becoming grey-black. Stems white and yellow initially, then becoming grey-black with age.
