These coprinoid mushrooms were apparently terrestrial but growing adjacent to a stump so in close proximity to wood. The cap is oval in shape when young and grey in colour with a spiky surface. The gills had a grey margin and were brown when young. There is a webby veil and above the ring zone the stipe is fibrous and below the ring zone it is quite woolly. The cap diameter was about 1.3 cm and overall height about 4 cm. Under mature broadleaf trees in remnant mature coastal broadleaf forest.
