On woodchip mulch, hygrophanous going from reddish or dark brown to straw coloured, spores purple, margin wavy, stipe white, not fragile, bluing when bruised. Immature fruits bluing on gills. What's interesting is that it seems to be an unseasonal fruiting if the data in inaturalist is typical. Up to 5 other species fruited prominently and more wide spread from same habitat at close by locations and at same time but this was only observation of this species.
