I was told that L. bicolor is only when the cap is mostly tan, and the mycelium is bright purple. I'm not so sure, but I'll put it down here. Given the amount of variability of Laccaria, I'm starting to think I really don't know how to tell the difference really between L. a-o, L. bicolor, and L. lacata. At least I know it is Laccaria! That is something I guess.
