Found in small groups in mature mixed coniferous second growth forest of Douglas Fir, Western Red Cedar, Western Hemlock, Pine and at about 640m elevation. Cap is brick red brown, convex with a small raised center that is darker brown. Surface here is rain soaked, but is nicely patterned with overlapping scales. Gills are white or nearly so with small cinnamon discolorations. Looks like they are attached, but not notched. No spore print. Stem is long and narrow, slightly tan to brown streaked, and looks like it's rooting. I'm thinking Tricholoma because of the brick red color of the cap and white gills, but obviously I'm no expert. Any ideas? I was thinking Tricholoma vaccinum and Tricholoma imbricatum also, but wanted an unbiased judgment. Thanks for your help!
