Fd. near both Lodgpole pine (Pinus contorta) and Eastern red oak (Quercus palustra). The material found with Lodgpole pine is more yellowish on the peridium than the flesh-colored peridium of the oak. Both are brownish to brownish-gray in the gleba, and powdery, as well as soft. A hard gleba would indicate S. cepa or S. laeve, which in my area are a little later in the season most years.
