Occurrence Remarks: Endolithic crust, on granite. APOTHECIA: scattered, dark orangish-red, tiny, (0.18)0.36+/-0.08(0.55) mm (N=28), lecanorine; disc some are orange pruinose, flat to weakly convex; rim prominant but thin, lighter; epihymenium dark red, POL+ bright orange, K+ wine red; hymenium clear; hypothecium clear; paraphyses final 1-2 cells expanded, often branched near tips SPORE: 8 per ascus, elliptical to oblong, clear, polarilocular, (11)13+/-1(16) x (2.2)3.5+/-0.9(5.0) m (Q=(2.7)4.0+/-0.8(5.3)) (N=14), septum (1.6)2.3+/-0.3(2.7) m (N=12)
