These have some characteristics of a Lepiota or at least those species that only have a scruffy stipe rather than a distinct ring. They were firmer than the usual fairly fragile Lep. The caps were fibrillose , appendiculate, and up to 3.9cm broad. The spores were white and non-amyloid, approx. 3.5-4.- X 4.0- 5.5 microns and many looked almost globose.
