Found under pines, D. fir. It was a big year for this one, huge. Usually this is a fairly rare one, often missing, or only a few found. Many years it is confused with R. brevipes, and just brushed off. This year, you couldn't just brush it off, it was everywhere. Many, many caps brought in, including one huge one, about 16 inches in diameter. Later at the Oakland fair, they were everywhere there also, brought in from all places north. Something about this year worked out really well with these, more than many others.
