Found this species (presumably) once before, on a lawn under Norway Spruce in October. Until finally getting a copy of B/R/B, this "bluing edulis" had completely perplexed me. These were found along the border of a mature oak forest (with other hardwoods mixed in). Bluing was noticable only slightly on the pores, and a bit more on the flesh just above the where the tubes attach to the cap undersurface. Looks like B. pinophilus, only with bluing. A few days before I found my collection, a collector in Canada had found apparently the same type of mushroom (bluing edulis type).
