This was the first time I saw Ophioparma ventosa. The thallus is usually more of a yellowish shade, but I like the contrast of the wine red apothecia on white. It was found above timberline on the windswept peak of Whistler mountain at 6900 ft on rock or soil on rock among alpine mosses and scrubby plants. Specimen moist.
