I have been calling this V. pratense in the past, but may have to revise my identification. Found this reference in Arora, who quotes Dr. Alexander H. Smith as saying this species is the most common Vascellum in my area. Still not certain of this identification. Note on this younger material, found in one of my neighbor's front yards, the small warts near the base on the peridium. Spore mass in gleba is dark green, extremely soft and moist.
