These seem to match up fairly well with the descriptions. The caps were somewhat viscid and the gill edges were rusty, especially the older ones. The gills were close and slightly notched. The caps were up to 8.2 cm across. The white spores were not amyloid, smooth and measured ~ 4.6-6.0 X 3.0-3.8 microns. The upper portion of the stems were covered with small rusty scales or squamules. The stem however, was stuffed to hollow and somewhat rooting, which could make them more like Tricholoma aurantio-olivaceum. They were growing in a Tanoak dominant area although scattered Madrone and fir were present.
