Locality:
United States, Pennsylvania, Luzerne

Elevation:
222-666 meters
(728-2184ft)
Occurrence Remarks:
When I first spotted these small silky lawn dwellers (<2 cm diameters) I thought "Inocybe." But the very fragile stalks seemed wrong for this genus. Spore print was not very thick, tannish. Spores are strongly angular... polygonal. Gill attachment is sinuate. On a lawn not fat from a maple tree, Some White Pine needles in the vicinity due to a pine tree across a small creek. One odd thing... there appears to be a cobwebby veil remnant on the one stem. Maybe just some debris? This does not seem to fit in with any of the Entoloma types.
