Original observation #51925 (Mushroom Observer)
After reading Kuo description, and seeing all the L magnispora pics on MO im a little confused. Lepiota clypeolaria is said to have the darker tones, and exist in mostly conifer, when the magnispora pictures on MO exhibit browner tones and spruce needles in the background. I found these under Norway spruce exclusively. i feel like the scales were both brown and yellow, however the stalks exhibited a definite yellow hue. I have not seen this mushroom often, anyone who has come across it a lot?
