This species is not usually reported in the Sierras but the keys pretty much led me there. T. vaccinum would be a little more logical but the spores appear to be too small for that species. They were white, non amyloid and ~ 6.0 X 4.1 microns. Also the stipe was slightly clavate and tended to have a pointed base which is more typical of the T. imbricatum. They were found at around 7000 ft with lodgepole pine and red fir.
