Found on mossy grassy ground near western red cedar. Small troupes of this fungus were arrayed over several square meters. Caps were nearly black, with just a touch of olive dark brown and no more than 4cm across. Stipe was very long, 8-15cm long and quite stiff and sturdy. It was also covered with small droplets though there was no dew on the grass to speak of. I used Matchmaker to get an idea of what it might be and it suggested Mycena megaspora, but that name does not appear in this site. So...
