Original Herbarium Label: Flammulaster granulosus (J.E. Lange) Watling 2011-03-04: Re-identified by Else Vellinga as Flammulaster muricatus (Fr.) Watling with the following note: Used references: Vellinga, Else. 1986. The genus Flammulaster in the Netherlands and adjacent regions. Persoonia 13: 1-26. The spores have a germpore, and the cystidia are predominantly cylindrical with a widened apex, and the habitat is on wood – three indications that it is not F. granulosus, but in the group of F. muricatus.
