The habitat of this specimen was a curious one: the roof of a small construction in the field (the clay-colored background in the photos is due to the ceramic tile). At first sight it seem to be something close to a sterile Diploicia, since I thought it had radiating lobes. Now, looking to the photographs of that day, I realise that the marginal lobes are those of a Physcia and, moreover, the same phenomena, previously noted in other observations, of “pustules dissolving into granulate soredia” was present close to the margin and soredia occupy most of the thallus, giving to it a unusual appearance. Thus it seems to be a Physcia clementei.
