Collecting information about the classification of this specimen, which lived on basaltic rock, I found that there are three species of the same number of genera, which are very similar, both macroscopically either in chemical reactions on thallus: Diplotomma alboatrum, Lecanora gangaleoides and Teprhomela atra. To separate them seems to be indispensable the microscopy. In this case, the choice falls on Teprhomela atra, since this species has as distinctive character an hymenium color of red wine, while for the other two species mentioned above the hymenium is hyaline. The preparation used was not good, but I still managed to observe two spores whose dimensions fall within those mentioned in reference below (14 x 5.7 µm and 13 x 7 µm).
