Growing seemingly solo among leave debris. The veil is quite thick and elastic and, as you can see, the whole fruit bruised brown pretty quickly. Very interesting shape to the pores. The fruit is quite heavy and dense feeling for its size. When I got them home, I noted the veil could be peeled almost in one piece from the body and cap leaving a very King Bolete looking cap. The caps were tacky before removing the veil and not tacky after. Cutting it in half reveals a solid fruit throughout Stipe and cap.
