These rather aged specimens had caps up to 9.8 cm across that were mostly scaled to some degree. The spores were ~ 7.9-9.0 X 5.2-6.1 microns and moderately rough. They did have a distinct odor which I would call pungent, while "fruity" is the term normally used for this species.( however, I'm not quite sure what "fruity" means.)
