Very common after monsoon rains. In the urbanized desert of Tucson, Arizona, you can expect these to fruit almost anywhere there is soil, dirt, gravel, sand, etc. This one is young and the flesh is probably white; eventually as it matures, the mushroom will turn yellow and dark (reddish to brownish to blackish) spores will be found inside. The skin may or may not rupture to release the spores (I have witnessed three cases: 1) the case does not rupture 2) there are small holes scattered on the "cap" where the spores escape or 3) the whole skin falls off, revealing the whole fine dusty powdery spore mass).
