Thallus unconfined, not lobed, areolate but somewhat granular to powdery, light-colored gray, with glimpses of pink/violet. Apothecia reddish brown with margins lighter in color, reacting K + red, some with a pruina on it. Fragments of the thallus arround apothecia mainly in the bottom part. Spores typical of the genus Caloplaca, with the following average dimensions: Me = 9.13 x 8.1 mm; Qe = 1.7 (N = 27) and large isthmus (> 5µm). Although the values for the length of the spores are somewhat lower than those of observation 91630 believe that this is the same species. To emphasize the similarity of this specimen with the one presented in reference "THM", in the case that a specimen collected a century and a half ago (it works!).
