Instead of using cheilocystidia (and potentially pleurocystidia) to identify this mushroom, one might consider this instead: The cells along the true gill edge easily and swiftly break up and swim freely, individually or in clusters. There is one common form that could fit the definition of cheilocystidia (it's pretty similar in shape to an old bowling pin called an American Duckpin).
