Single specimen growing at the base of a mature Betula sp. at the edge of a lake. The whole fruiting body was very white when I found it, but there were a few olivaceous stains on the pileus (evident in one of the photos). The scabers and the stipe remained pale in age and after handling, but the pileus slowly developed some more bluish-green stains.
