These were growing on burnt ground in a mixed habitat of pine and oak. Caps were fairly viscid and up to ~ 6 cm in diameter. Spore print was brown to rusty brown. Spores were ~ 9.0-11.0 X 5.1-6.1 microns, with a hilar appendage. They seem to fit at least one of the forms of Hebeloma sinapizans that appears in the greater SF Bay Area.
