These were growing under manzanita in a small clump. Caps were up to 5 cm across. Gills were adnate, close, creamy to buff and dried grayish. Spore print was whitish, not amyloid and spores ~ 7.0-9.1 X 4.0-5.0 microns. There did seem to be some blackish bruising and the caps did dry blackish. Could not find any gill cystidia. My ID is weak since I have never seen this species but it at least seems to match several of the criteria.
