Terrestrial by Oak, and scattered. Caps 50- 165mm wide, convex to uplifted with a depression in the center, orbicular, and reddish-brown with a white bloom near the margin, which was decurved to plane to uplifted. margin entire and cracking somewhat upon drying. Pileus was dry and smooth, but wrinkled near the margin. Pileal context was white and chaged to brownish , and the flesh instantly changed to dark blue-green with FeSO4. Trama soft, broke easily, smelled fishy, and had a mild taste. Latex was white and stained the yellowish-white gills brown. No detectable taste of the latex. Gills were adnate, crowded to close , moderatly broad, and numerous gills were forked. Lamellulae were present between all gills and ranged from small to very long. Stipe was centrally attached and was 24-34mm at the apex, and 75-85mm long, terrete, and equal to tapered at the base, and fibrous. Flesh of the stipe was solid and soft. Spores measured about 7.2-9.6 um, and appear to be suborbicular. Latex was white and copious. Spores are smaller than L. corrugis , and L corrugis doesn"t stain like this did.
