Scattered in soil/duff under Tsuga, Quercus, and Pinus along Big Creek trail Pileus: 41-54mm, 4B4-5, 5B5-6 and 6B6 ringed at center of margin, plano-convex to applanate, depressed to infundibuliform, smooth, soapy, viscid when wet, minutely bumpy; margin broadly TS, straight to decurved, edge crenate, context white, browning, firm, soft; odor sweet almonds, taste mild, "oily"; cuticle peels 2/3; KOH neg; SP E Lamellae: yellow white, close to subdistant, adnate, forking at base, lamellulae present, brown spots in age; guaiac pos Stipe: 35-52 x 8-15mm, yellow white browning in age, central, smooth to MLR; context hollow with remnants turned brown; guaiac pos, FeSO4 purple brown on stipe and context, PDAB neg C/FILNQT Spores: (7.7-)7.4-6.9-6.4(-6.1) Ã- (6.1-)5.7-5.3-4.9(-4.7) µm, Q= (1.41-)1.39-1.31-1.23(-1.18), ellipsoid, guttule brown in SV, attenuated apiculus, inamyloid plage; ornamentation (1.6-)1.3-1.1-0.9 µm, blunt, isolated to occasionally clustered warts, no connectives observed Cystidia: (59-)53-46-39(-36) Ã- (11.4-)10.9-9.4-7.8(-6.9) µm, abundant, SV pos (weakly in cheilocystidia!), filled with oily contents, cylindrical, tapering to a point apex Pileipellis: suprapellis trichoderm, weakly SV pos elements; subpellis clearly differentiated, ixocutis
