Cap 19.5 cm across. Growing under Bishop pine. Flesh pale yellow with some delayed bluing. Taste slightly bitter. This was an older fruit-body and as such, difficult to to pin down. I'm suggesting B. frustosus because of size, the distinctly aerolate dull brown cap, bruising reactions and somewhat bitter taste. Working against that ID is the location(not usually coastal) and the fact that there seems to be reddish tints on portions of the old pores.
