These were collected by someone else in our group but the habitat was mixed pines and oaks and they were growing in a cluster. The caps were up to 10 cm across and very hairy, even the youngest frb. Spores ~ 7.9-11.2 X 5.1-7.0 microns, ellipsoid to elongate(Qave. = 1.67), and smooth. The spores match Armillaria solidipes well but there was no indication of a ring, even on the young specimen, and the gills were quite reddish brown in age. Some veil fragments were evident on the stipes but seemed more cortina-like. Edit; I went brain-dead on this one. While I didn't get a real spore print on these, they did seem brownish in KOH. The spores do match pretty close to Inocybe hirsuta var. maxima, as do the other features. Thanks Noah.
