Silvery-violet pileus 30-55 mm. wide, convex to plane. Gills crowded to close, adnate and cinnamon colored. Sets of lamellulae present, with some being short while others almost reach the stipe. Margin entire and incurved with a rust colored cortina- possibly from spore dropage. Stipe 35-80 mm long x 10 mm wide at apex, 8-9 mm wide at midstipe with a cleft basal bulb 12-13 mm long x 15 mm long. Fine longitudinal lines are present along with some brownish fibrils on portions of it. solid to hollow with violaceus flesh, and fleshy fibrous. The base had some brown rhizoids attached to it. Cap context white, unchanging when cut. Terrestrial, scattered, and found close to White and Black Birch tree with a few maple saplings nearby.
