Hydnellum caeruleum (Hornem.) P. Karst., Polyporaceae, Aphyllophorales. (Blue Belt Rooting Polypora, гиднеллум голубой, г. сине-оранжевый, г. голубой поясок). Tubes are small, several per 1mm, bottom surface look hairy; descending; color from dull brownish-orange or bluish-white up to grayish-brown; Stalk: completely underground, 5-10cm long, 1.5-3cm thick, uneven, stiff, dull brownish-orange up to dark brown because covered tiny roots with soil, inter grow decay wood. It looks as a tree root. Habitat: single or small group on the ground near old pine-tree in pine tree forest with rare birches. Edibility: stiff as a wood. Season: July-August.
