This is definitely the year for S. decipiens. I hitherto haven't seen so many of these mushrooms in the Pine Barrens, and it's been a dry summer! A few specimens, like the one shown here, sported 4" caps, well beyond the reported size for this species. Typically, these were growing gregariously or in scattered groups under pitch pines, in wet areas (e.g., near cedar bogs and lake shores) and sometimes in wet moss.
