This suspected specimen of Amanita regalis, was collected October 5, 2014 from Mount Margaret, Kittitas Co., Washington, USA. Location occurred at approximate elevation of 1,524 m, on southwesterly facing slope. Forest comprising of mixed conifers within open, old growth stand, and largely consisting in various stages of dead and dying timber. Scent of this mushroom was "fresh earth".
